A charming, smaller-leaved form of pittosporum originally from remote Stephen’s Island in the Marlborough Sounds. Its dense, fine foliage makes it perfect for low to medium hedging, shelter, or as a textural accent in native plantings. Performs well in sun or partial shade and adapts to most soils, provided they’re well-drained.
Small red flowers stand out against dark green, leathery leaves. Grows as a compact to medium shrub, typically 1–2 m tall. Hardy and low-maintenance, thrives in full sun to part shade with well-drained soil. Ideal for hedging, borders, or adding year-round colour to gardens.
